- Library Journal Reviews : LJ Reviews 2019 August
For the immortal Luidaeg, it's time to call in the debt of the Selkies. To fulfill it, she calls in another: October "Toby" Daye also owes the Luideag, and she will be a part of the convocation in which the Selkies will meet the Luidaeg's price, ready or not. Toby, fiancé Tybalt, and a few others travel to the Duchy of Ships to finish the work. But no job with Toby is ever simple. Dianda Lorden is arrested by her brother for treason and stages a coup against her duchy, then one of the Selkie clan leaders is stripped of her skin and murdered. And the debt being called in will affect Toby's daughter, Gillian, as well. An intricate plot, populated by witty characters leads readers down a steep path into a watery, treacherous land of Fae.
